Two dead in accident at Thandikulam

A police officer and another died in a head-on collision of two motorcycles at Thandikulam in Vavuniya on the Jaffna – Kandy A9 highway.
PC 91230 H. P. P. Samira Niroshan Dissanayake (27) of Kiriibbanwewa in Welioya, attached to Akkarayakulam Police and S. Shanmuganathan (63) of Kandasamy Kovil Road in Vavuniya died on admission to Vavuniya General Hospital.
Investigations revealed that the riders had lost control of the motorcycles due to
