POLICE SUSPECT HE WAS MURDERED TO STEAL HIS BELONGINGS

Police investigations into the death of businessman Roshan Wanninayaka from Wellampitiya, suspect that the businessman was murdered to steal his belongings, including credit cards.

The 49-year-old businessman who was missing for the past few days was found dead in a swimming pool of a three-storey building being constructed in Thalangama.

The vehicle belonging to the businessman was recovered from a house in Negombo following the investigation.

Police said investigations revealed that a couple who had brought the vehicle to Negombo has reported to have left the country.
