Thank you very much for inviting me to witness this beautiful ceremony that also affords all stakeholders an excellent opportunity to review, reflect and reinforce the role of ACCA in the formation of the field of finance and accounting in Sri

Lanka and beyond. As we all are aware that the hniversity of Colombo has been in partnership with the ACCA through its Faculty of Danagement Θ Finance for many years. I would like to appreciate the ACCA’S continued commitment to uphold the great values of the pioneering seat of professional education in Sri Lanka, by supplementing our academic inputs with a professional certification that indeed contributes so effectively to the development of the Financial Sector of our beautiful island.

The achievements of today’s award winners exemplify the potential for the future of our accounting sector, and also inspires our own undergraduates, who hail from multifaceted backgrounds to follow this path.

I am certain that this year’s awardees would carry the flag forward toward ACCA’S goal of attaining professionalism and success in our future generations.
