Sri Lankan cricket team an excellent example to politicians: Dullas

Matara district ruling party MP Dullas Alahapperuma said the Sri Lankan cricket team set an excellent example to the politicians, and the players were the ones who brought smiles to the faces of people in tears otherwise.

Mr. Alahapperuma, in a statement to the media, said one should not shy away from the challenges despite their enormity. “We should not fear the prowess of our opponent. That is the lesson to be learnt from Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka. Dunith Wellalage, still a schoolboy, has taught a lesson to all 225 MPS. The Speaker of Parliament has a lesson to be learnt from the third umpire. Unless our leaders learn these lessons, we cannot avoid run-out or hit wicket,” he said. Commenting on the current political situation, he said it should not be attributed to a mere dollar crisis. He said it is nothing but the balance sheet of Sri Lankan politics.

“We have a lot of solutions to the present crisis. 100,000 youths, trained with the assistance of both the government and private sectors, should be sent for foreign employment this year.
