DIG in charge of CID transferred: Prasad Ranasinghe new DIG

The DIG in charge of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) W. Thilakaratne has been transferred.

Police said the transfer was approved by the Minister of Public Security following a request made by DIG Thilakaratne.

W. tilakaratne was appointed as the DIG in charge of the CID on October 28, 2021.

Sources said that Nuwara Eliya DIG Prasad Ranasinghe is to be appointed as the DIG in charge of the CID.
