Govt. should decide if it should continue or not: Sajith

● There are queues to purchase fuel while the inflation is going up rapidly

Government should decide whether it should continue to govern this country or not in the wake of multiple crises including the latest power breakdown, Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa said yesterday.

Speaking at the opening of a building in Mewgahapura Rajamaha Vihara , Mr. Premadasa questioned how a sudden power disruption came into being.

“People had to face power disruptions yesterday in addition to a number of other issues such as gas explosions. There are queues to purchase fuel while the inflation is going up rapidly. Country cannot move forward in such a situation,” Mr. Premadasa said.

“Sri Lanka needs a change. What is needed is a change in the centre and not a mere change of balance in Parliament. Government should decide whether it should continue to rule this country if it cannot change the situation,” mr. Premadasa said.
