Battle for final berths today at P. Sara Stadium

NCC, Colts CC, Ace Capital CC and Moors SC will clash in the two semi-final encounters of the Major Club T20 cricket tournament today, scheduled to be played in the morning and evening.

The four teams qualified to the semis having come out as the top team in their respective groups.

NCC, Ace Capital CC and Moors SC ended the league stage with an unbeaten record with NCC winning four from five matches with one match abandoned. Ace Capital CC won four out of four and Moors SC won four out five and one, with one match abandoned.

Colts CC with three wins made it as they ended the league stage with a better run rate having tied with Bloomfield and Sebastianites CC who also recorded three wins each.

The two semi-finals are going to be interesting tussles with NCC confronting Moors SC in the morning session and Ace Capital CC taking on Colts CC in the evening session.

The four teams possess experienced and talented players.

NCC have players in the calibre of the Upul Tharanga, Niroshan Dickwella, Lahiru Udara, Sahan Arachchige, Ahan Wickramasinghe, Thaveesha Abishek and Ashian Daniel to name a few.

Moors SC have in their ranks Malsha Tharupathi, Pasindu Sooriyabandara, Lahiru Samarakoon, Mohamed Shamaaz, Ramesh Mendis and Dinuka Dilshan while Ace Capital CC posses Thanuka Dabare, Wanuja Sahan, Sakuna Liyanage, Sithara Gimhana, Roshan Jayatissa and Pawantha Weerasinghe.

Colts CC have Akila Dhananjaya, Kavishka Anjula, Sangeeth Cooray, Yasoda Lanka, Muditha Lakshan, Sheran Fonseka and Dhananjaya Lakshan.

The final is scheduled to be played on June 11 at the SSC ground.
