Kabaddi nationals on March 25 and 26

Sri Lanka Kabaddi Federation (SLKF) has scheduled Kabbadi Nationals 2023 to be worked off from March 25 and 26 at Hettipola Public Grounds, Panduwasnuwara. Applications for the tournament have been accepted and applications have been sent to 50 teams.

The tournament will be held for men and women and the winners of each category will be awarded a cash prize of one lakh rupees. In addition, SLKF plans to award Rs. 75,000 to the runner-up teams, Rs. 50,000 to third place teams and Rs. 20,000 to fourth placed teams.

In addition to this, the best male player and female player of the tournament will be awarded Rs. 15,000 each and arrangements have been made to award Rs. 10,000 to each team participating team in the tournament.

SLKF Secretary, R. Saheevan says that based in connection with this year’s Kabaddi Nationals Performance, it is also expected to establish Men’s and Women’s National pools with the goal of international Kabaddi tournaments to be held in 2023.

Asian Games and Kabaddi World Championship, are the main international Kabaddi tournament to be participated in this year and the Sri Lanka Men’s National Kabaddi team has already left to Bangladesh to participate in the Bangabandhu International Invitational tournament.
