Surrey batters feast on Day 3

Surrey’s batters piled on the runs as they ended day three of their first-class game versus Sri Lanka Cricket Development XI on 482 for the loss of 7 wickets in response to the visitors’ first innings total of 372.

Openers for the home side, Ryan Patel and Ben Geddes, both struck centuries, while Nico Reifer and Guy Atkinson too made fifties batting in the middle-order.

Atkinson was dismissed for 91 by left-arm spinner spinner Dunith Wellalage who was the Development XI’S most successful bowler on the day with four wickets to show for his 48-over long effort with the ball.

Surrey go into the fourth and final day carrying a lead of 110 runs. (AD)
