Private fuel bowser owners want police security to transport fuel

● Several fuel distribution bowsers had been attacked during the recent struggle

The Ceylon Petroleum Private Bowser Owners’ Association (CPPBOA) yesterday said that they are unable to engage in fuel transportation if they were not provided with security.

A letter mentioning the situation was sent to the power and energy Minister requesting their safety, Association Secretary Shantha Silva said.

He mentioned in their letter that several fuel distribution bowsers were attacked during the recent struggle.

Therefore, the association requested the minister to provide the required safety to continue with fuel distribution.
