Sri Lanka name squad for SAFF Football Tourney

The National Football Selectors yesterday announced a 23-member squad to compete in the SAFF 2021 Football Tournament from October 1 to 16 in the Maldives.

The final squad was announced after the 27-member national squad had completed a successful training session in Saudi Arabia, President, Football Sri Lanka (FSL) Umar Jaswar said yesterday.

Experienced player Sujan Perera of Upcountry Lions was named Captain of the Sri Lanka Team for this event, which will be conducted on a round robin basis with the participation of five countries.
