People’s Bank refurbishes Polonnaruwa regional head office, Dehiattakandiya branch

People’s Bank recently refurbished its Polonnaruwa regional head office and Dehiattakandiya branch, which were reopened under the auspices of People’s Bank Chief Executive Officer/general Manager Ranjith Kodituwakku.

The regional head office at the Polonnaruwa Divisional Secretariat now consists of a range of new facilities including an auditorium. The Dehiattakandiya branch also features a modern, comfortable and spacious premise to provide an enhanced banking experience to the people of Dehiattakandiya.

Gracing the opening ceremony were Polonnaruwa District Secretary W.A. Dharmasiri, Additional District Secretary A.D.S. Wanasinghe, Commander Front Maintenance Area East and Colonel Commandant of SLASC Major General Mahesh Abeyarathna, government officials and businesspersons.

People’s Bank Deputy General Manager Channel Management Mahinda Premanath, People’s Bank Head of Marketing Nalaka Wijayawardena, Polonnaruwa Regional Manager Indumini Rathnayaka, Assistant Regional Manager Polonnaruwa H.G.N Aarohana and People’s Bank Dehiattakandiya Branch Branch Manager C.K Wijesekara also attended.

The Banker Magazine in the UK recently recognised People’s Bank as one of the Top 1000 Banks in the World for the fourth consecutive year. The bank operates 741 branches and service centres located islandwide, with a workforce of more than 8,000 staff serving more than 14 million customers, making it one of the largest commercial banks in Sri Lanka.
